Beiden Formen ist gemeinsam, dass am Ende der kreativen Phase etwas Nützliches, oder Brauchbares steht. Sei es ein Gemälde, ein Musikstück, oder eine besondere Problemlösung im Alltag.
Besondere Eigenschaften kreativer Menschen
Kreative Menschen gelten als experimentierfreudig, passioniert, neugierig und offen für Unbekanntes. Sie probieren gerne aus, auch wenn sie dabei das Risiko eingehen, zu Scheitern. Das ist möglich, da sie überdurchschnittlich gut mit Ungewissheiten umgehen können, also über eine hohe Ambiguitätstoleranz verfügen. Auch die Intelligenz und der Erfahrungsschatz spielen eine wichtige Rolle, denn wer praktisch denkt und mehrere Informationen gleichzeitig verarbeiten kann, ist kreativer.
Wie genau die Kreativität im menschlichen Gehirn entsteht, wird gerade noch erforscht, ebenso welche Botenstoffe dabei von Bedeutung sind. So soll beispielsweise das Bindungshormon Oxytocin das analytische Denken reduzieren und somit die Kreativität anregen.
Hilfe – ich bin nicht kreativ!
Vieles scheint in Bezug auf die Kreativität also von der Natur geben zu sein – oder eben auch nicht! Doch so einfach ist es nicht, denn tatsächlich tragen wir alle die Veranlagung zu kreativem Denken in uns. Das sieht man schon allein am unendlich erscheinenden Forscherdrang unserer Kinder. Kinder sind neugierig, möchten alles ausprobieren und glänzen mit den kreativsten Ideen.
Leider gelingt es nicht immer, diese Eigenschaften beizubehalten und auch als Erwachsene davon zu profitieren. Viele von uns verlernen das Kreativsein schlicht weg. Das ist fatal, denn gerade zur Bewältigung der Herausforderungen unserer Zeit benötigen wir kreative Köpfe mehr denn je.
Und nicht zuletzt ist es laut kunsttherapeutischen Erkenntnissen sogar möglich, durch Kreativität unsere seelische Gesundheit zu verbessern. So soll gerade kreatives Gestalten bei Kindern, jungen Erwachsenen und älteren Menschen das Selbstbewusstsein steigern und ein wichtiges Fundament bieten für persönliche und soziale Gesundheit.
Kreativität wiedererwecken und kreative Blockaden lösen
Als entscheidende Voraussetzung zur Lösung von kreativen Blockaden und zur Wiedererweckung von Kreativität gilt das Loslassen von übernommenen Vorstellungen und Denkmustern.
Aber auch unser Umfeld und unsere Stimmung sind dabei von Bedeutung. Am besten gerät Kreativität ins Fließen, wenn wir gut gelaunt sind, einen Spanziergang an der frischen Luft machen oder Tagträumen. Dabei sollten wir unseren Gedanken und Empfindungen freien Lauf lassen können und möglichst wenige Einschränkungen durch unser direktes Umfeld erfahren.
